    TESTIMONIALS

“Great food and service and best river view!”

This restaurant is located on 12th floor of the hotel of Hanoi Elegance Diamond Hotel, it has great river views! The food is Vietnamese and western food, exceptional service and the food was beautiful! We enjoyed the dinner there for the first night we arrived in Vietnam, and it was one of the best meals we ever had! I would highly recommended if you prefer to try both Asian and Western food and enjoy the lovely river views, this is the place to go! You can try local food called Bun Cha, which is grilled pork with broth and you dip a spoonful of vermicelli in the broth and eat with fresh mints and herbs and pork together, that was very delicious. My husband ordered the Lamb Cutlet with French Fries, it was excellent! And the waiter can't be more helpful if you want to find out more about the local Vietnamese Food on the menu. They will explain to you very patiently and they speak reasonable good English, too! Definitely try it for once!

    “Splendid surprise”

I found this restaurant to be just wonderful, the only downside was my own baby who cried a little. But the staff graciously swooped him away so I could enjoy my meal- which was DELISH. I had the Hanoi springrolls- presented on a woven basket with a small basket of rice noodle, and a basket with lettuce and fresh herbs. The springrolls were cooked perfectly. and the flavor was wonderful. I then ordered the BUN CHA- also beautiful presentation and delicious. They ado a very nice job with flavors, and presentation My husband is a vegetarian, and he ordered the roast beet salad- good flavor and big- the carrot ginger soup- really really good, and the falafel balls- interesting and tasty but not like the usual falafel. It was a little more like a chickpea puree but they are rolled in toasted sesame seeds. YUM We also ordered a bottle of wine- and the whole thing including dessert (creme brulee- done very nicely) was about 50 USD. Spendy for Hanoi, but very fair and reasonable, infact a good bargain for what you get. The dining room is small but on the 12th floor of the Hanoi Elegance Diamond Hotel, so you get a panoramic view- the lake, the river and a city view. The room is carpeted, and the seats upholstered- comfy and quiet- cozy and nice. It was such a great surprise- we are going for a second time in the same week!

    "Just loved it”

I stayed at HE5 last October on a mates holiday, & came back with my wife and her family. I've stayed at hotels from 1 star to 5 star all around the world, & I've never experienced such great service as I've experienced at HE5 & the Gourmet Corner, then & now. After a sometimes chaotic month travelling through SE Asia, it is such a pleasure to be able to trust & rely on the staff at HE5. Special mention this time to Phuc and others who were delightful and provided great food on the rooftop restaurant. The food here is good value, high quality and thoroughly enjoyable.

"Great western and local food with a view!!"

The Gourmet Corner is a lovely restaurant located on the top floor of the Hanoi Elegance Diamond Hotel. My Husband and i have eaten there for both Lunch and Dinner. It is a small restaurant, quiet, clean, nice decor, and a great view of Hanoi! The staff are also amazingly friendly and helpful!
If you are vegetarian like myself, you will find some options such as the Sesame Falafel, Rata Tofu or Asparagus soup. All very tasty! My husband (non vegie) enjoyed the Cashew nut Chicken and the Crunchy Cheese Pork.
A great spot to escape the heat and hustle and bustle.
There is also an outdoor area that you can sit and enjoy a cocktail or a cold Hanoi beer and enjoy the view!
