At Red Bean our vision is to become one of Vietnam’s leading restaurant brands serving modern Vietnamese cuisine with high quality and innovative ideas but never forgetting the roots and value of true and authentic Vietnamese cooking.

Our aim is to build a great reputation in the hospitality and restaurant trade. To help lead the way in creating inspirational dishes which keep true to Vietnamese cooking embodying the five elements of metal, wood, fire, water and earth that underpin Vietnamese food.

Why Red Bean? It may seem a humble and simple red bean (in Vietnamese đậu đỏ) but it is a versatile, very important and far reaching ingredient in Vietnamese (and other Asian) dishes both sweet and savory. As well as having a high nutritional value, philosophically the red bean embodies a deep and powerful meaning within Asian societies. It is believed to be a symbol of love and fidelity, and is featured in legends and poems about love and romance.

We chose the name Red Bean as it is symbolic of what we aspire to in Vietnamese cuisine. Let our menu take you on a culinary Vietnamese journey stimulating the senses and taste buds. Colors, flavors and fragrances of our famous and not so famous national and regional dishes are combined and exquisitely presented. Dine at Red Bean and fall in love with Vietnam.

As proud parents we thought you would also like to know that there is a second and more personal reason we chose the name Red Bean. When our youngest son was born we immediately nicknamed him đậu đỏ or Red Bean because he looked like a big red bean the first few months of his life. And the name stuck. He loves his food and we love him and perhaps one day he will grow up to be a chef by which time we hope there will be a chain of Red Bean restaurants throughout Vietnam!

It's a little more expensive but really worth it. Make sure to book. We didn't. It was booked out on a Tuesday / we got a late cancellation and were lucky to get it.

This was a return visit for my 60th birthday celebration with friends.

Treat yourself and enjoy the ambience of this restaurant on the top floor of the Hanoi Elegance Diamond. This restaurant will not break the bank with an extensive range of Vietnamese and Western Cuisine. Small, intimate, simple and basic decor with views over Hanoi.

The professionalism and warmth of the staff and their service made this experience for all us so memorable. A must do.

A big thank you to Mr Phuc for my cake and his heartfelt words for my birthday. Loved it!

We decided to try Gourmet Corner based on reviews and had a pleasant evening. The food was mainly Vietnamese with a choice of western cuisine. I would say this is one of my best dinning experience in Ha Noi without hesitation.

The restaurant is part of the Elegance Hotel chain and since we were staying at the Ruby Elegance about 15 minutes by foot we were surprised that they gave us a discount. The sea bass and spring rolls were very good. The service was excellent . Attention to details is their strength like inviting us on the terrasse for a picture. The young man took several shots and verified each picture until one was
right. A++

We came here to try something different in Hanoi and we weren't disappointed. The food was just mind-blowing and the service was too. I suggest you order items from the menu that you are not familiar with because no matter what you order here its going to taste good. I ordered fish baked in banana leaf and I was amazed even though i don't much fish. The wine list is extensive here too. Oh and do yourself a favor and order the chocolate cake for dessert! You won't regret it

My Fiancé and I had a wonderful experience in Vietnam, found this wonderful Restaurant on Trip Advisor and were absolutely blown away by the delicious fresh cuisine, wonderful view, spotless and gorgeous setting, but what made it stand out was no doubt the staff and service. We booked only an hour or two before and were lucky enough to get a table with a lovely view of the city lights. We opted for the set meal and it was just sensational! each course was soo full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff were just excellent, and really did make the whole experience that much better, they were so friendly and attentive, checking to ensure each course was up to standard. and we often had no words to describe how amazing each course was, we were in food heaven! When we return to Hanoi we will definitely be back again, we only wish we had time to visit again before we left. Wonderful way to top off an amazing holiday!
